*The computer room at the Yunping Building (雲平樓) is open to students
from 8:00 am to 9:00 pm every weekday. The English Department's
computer room is open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm every week day. Make use of
them if you have no access to the
Internet elsewhere.
Objective:
The objective of the course is to provide students approaches to hypertext
literature and a writing workshop to experiment the potential embedded in
the incorporation of literary text and interactive media.
Outline:
1. Webpage Making
Learning Frontpage, HTML, and other Web applications
2. Reading Classics
Analyzing the forms of expression embodied in hypertext works.
3. Hypertext Writing
Mixing up text, image, and interactive form.

single-spaced, A4 size; the file to be uploaded after Week 11). *Talk to

list. Provide the address of the specific work in your report.
2. A dynamic logo for your website (Wk 11)

hypertext (Chinese or English; Wk 14) *Or to be replaced with a quiz on Wk 15.

to the instructor by Week 8. Your website address will be added to a
specific student webpage. Check it out
whether your website address is
listed up there one week after the submission. Those who are unable to
meet this preliminary requirement will be flunked.
