HOW TO SET UP AN NCHU WEB ACCOUNT

First of all, you need to have a valid NCHU email account, which looks like this: s9999999@mail.nchu.edu.tw (Note: Address your questions related to the NCHU email account to the Computer Center).

Second, telnet to ccsun.nchu.edu.tw (to run the telnet program, go to START/RUN and enter "telnet" into the blank.  Then, press ENTER).

1. In the telnet environment, key in "open ccsun.nchu.edu.tw" (parenthesis not included)
2. Login
3. After your login is successful, key in "chmod 755 ." (parenthesis not included; the period needed)
4. Key in "chmod 755 WWW" (parenthesis not included)

Third, use FTP to get access to the NCHU's server.  The hostname is "ccsun.nchu.edu.tw" (Notes: Use "index.htm" as the home page.  Upload all the files into the WWW folder on the left side of the FTP interface).

PLUS: To change your password, key in "passwd" and follow the instruction.
